The history and development of art through the ages. Primary focus: how artists have depicted life and our environment through various visual mediums including, but not limited to, drawing, painting and sculpture.
Develop an awareness of line, color, shape and form. Techniques in drawing and progression through color mixing and canvas painting. Pursue an interest in art for personal enrichment. Individual instruction guided at a pace compatible with your personal inclination. A relaxed, noncompetitive approach is encouraged.

Provides older adult students with the opportunity to understand practical theater using the fundamentals of amateur theatrical production. Students will rehearse and perform staged readings and be involved in a full stage production requiring minimal sets, scenery, costumes, and makeup.
Make hand-formed and/or wheel-thrown ceramic pieces. Glazing techniques, raku firing, and ceramic sculpture.
Introduction to crafts involving wood, metal, fibers, ceramics, glass, etc. Make items that are both decorative and utilitarian. This course is offered in community classes and in special settings.
