Nancy BachmanNovember 21-23, a team from the ESL department will take an amazing journey to walk 60 miles in three days to raise funds for breast cancer research, screening and treatment. Team members include ESL instructors Sandie Linn and Liz Flynn (Center City), Beth Bogage (ECC), EL Civics Coordinator Jan Forstrom and Center City American Sign Language Interpreter David Janisch.

The team name, “Nancy’s Angel Network” (Team NAN) honors the memory of Nancy Bachman, long-time ESL teacher and Instructional Leader who was a mentor and inspiration to all who served with her in the ESL department. Team members feel Nancy’s spirit as they train for hours and hours and miles and miles. They are also encouraged by a host of Continuing Education supporters who have donated to their fundraising efforts.

Team NANProceeds from the 3-Day Walk for the Cure go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. If you’d like to donate to a team member or follow their journey in Sandie’s blogs, you can visit the site here.
